As I'm currently attempting to produce some painted animation myself, here are some stills (and sketches, bottom) from the films of Swiss artist and animator Georges Schwizgebel. He's experimented with various techniques over the years in addition to paint on glass, but throughout his work there is an emphasis on movement, frequently to stunning effect, as can be seen in what might be his best film, The Man Without A Shadow.
